Helping Children Succeed
This site from the University of Illinois Extension Center discusses learning styles from a parent's perspective and provides activities to help you discover your child's preferred learning style.
EasyFunSchool 
describes 
four basic learning styles,
three learning modalities,
and provides a bibliography 
of helpful books.
Learning Styles from Smarter Kids gives an overview of Howard Gardner's seven learning styles known as the Multiple Intelligence Theory.
The Wisconsin Education Association Council describes three 
Perceptual Pathways 
(visual, kinesthetic, auditory)
that can be combined to form
